JOAN OF ARC CHURCH

Most likely taken shortly before or just after the bombardment. The photograph shows a military barricade on Saladin Street in front of the Joan of Arc church in the heart of Old Damascus before the French bombardment of October 1925, which devastated large sections of the historic city during the Great Syrian Revolt
